Postby ukgaz on Mon Jun 02, 2008 6:48 pm

Ok started buying up my bits for a Turbo conversion, but keep seeing things like

"minimal play in shaft" etc,

Can someone explain what they mean by this?

basically means that the bearing for the shaft is kinda worn but will go on for a bit. and mabye smokes a bit. in my minimal experience (2 t3's for minis) i have found one 'minimal play' turbo to be completly shot and one 'in need of a re-build' to be fine and was still on the car after 2 years of track use last week when i was talking to the guy i sold it to. honestly of the seller i guess. hop e this helps
