you wont get anything then mate, unfortunatly, maybe drill the airbox, but then again that will just give noise, and no more in bhp.

wot about a remapped ecu or a bolt on? i would just like a bit more throttle response and acceleration cz it is slow off line at times but other times i can blow past ppl easily. so a bit inconsistance!

To be utterly brutal and honest mate.. there is nothing your going to be able to do to a 1.1 hcs wheter its cfi or carb that will be of any improvement! best bet is to save your money for a bigger, better engine. and i dont mean a 1.3 hcs! lol

so its one of the very last mk3.5's ever built then, nice1!, oh its a cfi by the way, basically means the carb has one injector feeding 4cylinders, which is never going to produce good power on a bigger engine let alone the poor old push rod hcs!
my advise mate, dont waste your time or money!

you aint seen the pics of my car then have you, anything will be better than my Si, look on my wheel refurb thread, you will unfortunatly see a pic of me and my car, looking a state, get a 1.4CVH as that was my last engine before i got my 1.6Si and it was quite nippy for what it was, and wasnt that bad on insurance ;P

Shouldn't of bought a 1.1 fiesta if you want speed, japanese cars are the ones to go for if you want a speedier small capacity engine.
Although, I would rather drive a slow fiesta than a whiney japanese space bubble car.
Fiestas are just so, so much cooler.

I know what I'd do. Take all the mods off and sell them, then use the money from that and what's saved on insurance to insure something better next year.
The 1.1 is a bad engine sorry fella. I found that the' bomb-proof' thing was rubbish too, as I went through 3 engines within a couple of years. They'll run alright when they're buggered, but mine (though mine was carb'd) used more fuel than my 1.6Si and more oil than anything else I've ever seen. Plus you could spend thousands on it, and still not be up to 1.6 power. They're not worth the metal they're made of.
Sorry mate, you'll probably get tired of people telling you this, but it's because it's the truth.

Ok, matey. We're not saying swap the car necessarily though. You just need a different engine.

ive recently uped from a 1.1 hcs to a 1.6 si and only got 1 year no calims and 3 poiunt was only £38 to upgrade have a word with noprwich and look at get 1.6
and i fitted a k&n bolt on filter kent cams shaft new valve springs new tappets new gasket new iridium plugs ran on v power grinded and polished the exhuast ports and manifold and had a pepco back box got it to do 108 mph with 120 possible but due to it having gay piston rings it bit the dust
was worth it to be albe to list the spec and learn how to build an engine but really truley not worth the £155 i spent on the cam shaft

Try changing your driving to suit the slow 1.1 engine.
If you absolutely must have speedy acceleration, rev to at least 4k before releasing the clutch and don't just dump it, hold it at the bite point while flooring the gas.
You'll sound/look like right nob but theres just no low down torque in a 1.1 engine.
On the other hand, drive everywhere in 5th gear (my 1.1 goes right down to about 20 mph in 5th) and you'll get 300+ miles to a tank.

my 1.3 uses no oil what so ever but my driving style combined with 60mph country roads and a high population of old people means lots of over taking so a fuel consumption of !29mpg! and the car has still only done a GENUINE 33000 miles.
im tranna find an insurance company which will accomodate my car with a 1.6 zetec on a 1.3 gearbox, no luck yet as most insurers say i must be over 19 to have performance increasing mods
