Postby DarkMessiah on Sun Sep 14, 2008 10:07 pm

I have Started Work on my fiesta Lx mk3 doing some exterior work planning and i am having a brain freeze as what to do with my engine as it is bog standard 1.3 Hcs i want to put a bigger engine in there but if i do that i will be spending s**t loads on stuff like Brakes,Gearbox,Transmission plus other stuff to compinsate for the new engine. But atm i want to probably get the interior looking good and the bodywork as i want to spray it get black with high gloss affect :D And leave the engine to last. But my main Question Was for my Standard Engine I am going to fit Green Cotton Induction Kit on it just for the time being but i dont see much talk about green cotton filters in my opinion thay look a bit Green to green lol but are these induction Kits Anygood ? thanks guys for ur help :)

When you say induction kit for the HCS, what exactly are you looking for? I thought that only the k&n bolt-on filters would go on them?

Green cotten do quality induction kits. Up there with the best like K&N and Ram air.

I personally use green cotten filters and have never had problems with them.

As said above, for the money your pay for a new one you have to ask is it really worth :-? Try find a 2nd hand one or getting looking on ebay and find a bargain.

Personally, i would just go for a bolt on K&n filter, as you can get them second hand quite cheaply, i got one from a member on here for £20.

Thats your best bet, rather than paying that price for a filter :D

My car is faster with the filter on, i noticed it as soon as i had put it on, but at the end of the day its still a 1.1, so you can only expect so much

Dont go there.

Back in the day when I had my 1.3 (when I obviously had more money then sence) I bought a Green Cotton kit for like £120. Other then a small difference in sound it made no differnce in performance.

Drill the standard airbox instead.

Just buy a bolt on K&N as i said already, get it second hand and then you won't waste your money :)

They sound nice on full throttle too

Spend the money saved on something decent :D
