Greetings from South Africa

Postby flouwford on Tue Jul 15, 2008 10:45 pm

hi, im currentle driving an MK5 fiesta, use to be an 1400 cvh. but imported an XR2i CVH and fitted it. its running alot better, but not to optimum. still using the 1400 management. fitted an cvh 23 cam wich is realy mild, but works best for the kind of trafic driving im experiencing.

i need advice on what management i can get to work with the 1600 motor. and ive got an vernier cam pulley, how do i set it up?

im amazed on how much power u guys make in these small cars. i would love to fit an 2L zetec, can get one from the same importer, but what type of zetec will fit in fiesta? we in SA only got the mondeo's with 2L zetec, our mk5 escorts had the 1800 zetec.

any advice please, id like to show the guys in south africa that the CVH can make some mean power aswell, without going full race with steel crank etc.

Yes. That sound like the solution. Question is, would the xr2i ecu plug in straight into existing ecu plug? Curently runing 1400 cvh motronics ecu that came out originaly with car.

what engines did the mk5 fezz have in uk?

what will i pay for xr2i ecu and map sensor in uk? Maybe wiring loom.

can i source an 1800 zetec ecu and map sensor that was in mk5 escorts? Or 2l zetec ecu and map sensor that was in mondeo? If u could provide an part number, i can search.

its realy frustrating, since its down on power, and realy heavy on fuel. Pls help.
