Afternoon ppl, just a quick question in the process of throttle body conversion and wanted to see people advice and opinion on aftermarket cam kits ?

been looking at the piper 285 for the zetec as i wont be using standard management or injectors. would this be ok or would ppl suggets a wilder cam - keeping in mind it needs to be emission friendly and no head work will be done

if your not doing any headwork then i'd suggest the piper fast road cam,
if your going to do headwork then go for the extreme road cam

Im going to be using Kent 278 cams, with my GSXR1000 throttle bodies.

I think with a 285 cam you will need to machine your pistons with valve pockets. Raceline can advise you on that, they know tons about the zetec.

You may need head work anyway as the ST170 ports dont line up perfectly with the silvertop zetec head.

I have a skimmed head which I will get possibly up to stage 2 and matched to the manifolds. No larger valves or anything.

HTH
