Personally I have it connected to a Pipercross Viper inductionkit but I see no reason why you cant you the standard focus airbox - Infact Iv heard the focus owners fit the ST170 airbox for a performance gain?
Ideally I need to relocated my battery to give me more space, then I can connect my morrette air intake directly to the Viper.
Yea I'll drop you a PM with a final pic - It was getting abit dark before

I got my manifold for £40 of the local scrappy - I know the guys in there very well but I recon 40 is the going rate, just make sure you get the inlet bolts and induction piping (Mine was off a 55reg Focus )
If not the bolts are only £2.70 from Fords

how did you connect the throttle cable to the throttle body?

also something worth adding, you can fit the idle valve off the escort gti, which is same fitment onto manifold, and same wiring connector!!

Really? cool I didnt know that.
Totally forgot about the throttlecable - Am going down to Fords to see if the Focus and Fiesta share the same connection at the pedal end. If not I'll do as Excursion says and get the focus end piece attached

you can jsut say sod it and use an un modified throttle body of a 2.0 mondeo, the linkages are made for 'horizontal' use, and the accelerator cable will clip straight on! then you can use standard TPS, and not change any of the wiring!

what is the dimension of the focus throttle body?? is it bigger than the rs1800/2.0l mondeo? and what focus do i need to get one of these off?? as im guessing the different models will have different sized ports...

What kind of extra power is expected using this setup?
Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

so basically can someone sum it up as lots of different options have been said,
1.8/2.0 focus inlet manifold with bolts
also the matching throttlebody and iscv
induction hose
block two of the holes on the manifold
alter loom accordingly
then it should work?
one or two questions
will the induction pipe fit over a 2.0 mondeo maf sensor?
does the focus throttle body connect to the fiesta throttle cable??
do i need a gasket for the inlet manifold where it bolts onto the head?

Hey
will the induction pipe fit over a 2.0 mondeo maf sensor?
Yes it does
does the focus throttle body connect to the fiesta throttle cable??
Unfortunetly not, I have yet to find out if a focus tb cable will fit, altho I have reason to believe it will as I have looked into this (I have pics of both ends etc)
do i need a gasket for the inlet manifold where it bolts onto the head?
Opps I should have put that in the guide too - Yes you will
Just to note, you only need the ISCV and TB plugs not the sensors themselves

Fitting the 2.0 throttle body would be a hell of a lot easier then due to the wiring etc? Basicly, does the inlet have petrol/ wires going into it or does it all go into the tb?
Does this have to be done with the engine out of the car, or is there enough room to do it with the engine in the car?
Just because I keep talking about definetly doing it doesn't mean I'm actualy going to do it.

Take Rhinopowers word if it helps mate, I believe it would work but I have not done it. You'd still need to alter the wiring for the ISCV tho.
It can be done with the engine in the car, and the wiring is part of a 'sub-engine loom' thats easily removed (Basicly only contains wiring for the inlet)

what happens with the injectors? are the focus ones used? do they work with the mondeo ecu, ie, are they the right impedance etc.
this is something i may consider, seems a lot to change though.
might pop down scrappies tomorrow and get a price
are the 1.8 and 2.0 focus ones the same?

How much inc postage? Have you got paypal? What other bits would I need if I was to use the 2.0 modaeo tb? (that wouldnt loose [ERRR] power over the focus one right?)
Cheers

Have you got any more gain from using the fous one.
Because I am using the 105/130PS XR2i 1800 one with a modifed 2.0 TB on it that seems to be fine.
I just want to know to see if its worth me upgrading or not.

Excellent to hear and thanx for informing me
They do two types of throttlecable for the focus (say Ford) and they are both about £21 all in. All the motorfactors around here dont stock throttle cables and sorry I didnt get a code for it
