Re: H702 DEG The work continues!
Picked up Aeroquip today, £500+ worth , shame its not all there, still dont have the correct fittings for the fuel pump which is the whole reason I sent the pump away! Anyway, picked up bonnet and boot today as well.
Opinions wanted on rear lights, RS accessory or Clears, personally im thinking RS.

I bet smoked lights would look pretty darn good on there Definitely not clears though! Damn shame about the muck-up with the fittings Top news that the bonnet and tailgate are back though, it makes it that bit more like a car again!

RS Lights are the only option...
Who put the numberplates in the wash btw?
Oh, poor Focus looks dirty. Needs a detail!!! (And the fiesta I'd imagine!!)

I'm not keen on the tiny plate!
Looking great back together

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
...the colour is ten times better in the flesh
It looks a horrible 1960s faded lime green in the pics. It is a totally different colour to the naked eye. Photo's really make it look nasty

The car's a damn sight more impressive when someone's sat in the driver's seat going "vroom vroom".
Looking good mate, just needs m3 mirrors, a mondeo spoiler and some venoms.

In that case, some lexus rear lights would look spot on!
On a slightly serious note - i think it looks really good with the RS rears.

general concensus seems to be the RS lights so I reckon thats what I'll go for.

Ive decided to go Old-skool on it so have dumped the turbo'd 2.1 16v in favour of a kent 1.6 pushrod engine mated to a four-speed gearbox, front looks a bit bare without an IC, dunno what to put there instead? Ive always wanted tiny plates, never had a car that suits them tho, I think this one does

Loving the old school direction with this car, the 330mm alloy drum brakes are a thing of serious beauty.
As an aside, do the FWD ford boxes have filler and drain plugs?

i had wandered why paul wasnt using aero catches as it would make it look alot better and also match the black morette's.

Re: H702 DEG The work continues!
Right, minor update - after recently spending a day hooning myself & Dave's trackcar around I have found a burst of enthusiasm to get this finished! The poor car has been stuck in my garage under an ever-increasing pile of junk so at the weekend I began the clearup of the garage and on Sunday was able to extracate it. This is its first outside appearance in nearly a year so i thought it deserves a couple of pics. Shame they dont do it justice, the gold pearl look stunning when the light catches it!!!
As you can see, It has aero-catches fitted which is the last thing I did to it last year. IIRC I had already bought them when a couple of you commented I should fit them.
Here's hoping it will be mobile fairly shortly.
