Well, Aeroquip wasnt ready to pick up today, should be ready for next weekend! Bonnet and boot are still at the painters so I had to carry on with other stuff. Finally got the passenger arches and skirt on. Took the wheels in to get tyres swapped over from the KEI Racing wheels to a set of black Khan Rsr's Ive had in the summer house for the last three years! Its currently rolling on a set of old-skool stealths, cant wait to see it with the black wheels on :)

Personally, I can't believe you've left the roof rails open, presumably because you intend on fitting those weighty plastic roof rail trims. If it were me, I would've had them lead filled so those hefty trims could've been left beind in the workshop, shaving of a few key grammes :)

Along the same lines; why the chrome pieces like strut tops? I mean, that extra plating is only excess weight.

Chrome strut tops are being swapped for some black painted/powder coated items. Personally i dont believe chrome has a place in the engine bay. Al the other chrome items have already been dumped :D

Got the Kahn's back tonight so had to slap 'em on to see what they look like! Kinda pleased although one of them is apparently bent to buggery so I need to get a replacement.
It gets closer to completion every time I go in the garage, Im really looking forward to driving it again, its been far too long!

Wheels lighter i'm guessing?

Tyres look a bit mad, they road legal?

Lastly, You need a proper Zetec-E oil cap! That one looks odd and heavier than standard one.

Looking good paul

Quick question ... How comes the map sensor vacuum pipe from the inlet doesnt have the ford round bit like a normal one ?

Is it something to do with the map sensor being further over to the right ?

I used a genuine Ford aerial blanking plug. Apparently it doesnt appear on Microcat tho. Its from a poverty spec Euro model afaik.

Wheels are slightly heavier but will do until i can get my OZs refurbed. Tyres are fully road legal. E-marked and DOT marked. The oil cap replaced a naff chrome cap that i lobbed.

I doubt it the way things are going, still waiting on the Aeroquip, they've had to order in the fitting for my 044 fuel pump and the bloke who's painting my bonnet and boot has been working in Lewisham for the past week so all his painting jobs have been held up :( Took friday off work as well to get stuff done, spent it in bed with a hangover from Valentines instead
