i did it last summer!

- got bigger pistons and rings!
- new fan
- skimmend head and re-bored the head!
- kent camshaft kit cvh32K
-kent cam pulley with belt
- boost valve
- new haed gasket kit
- new tappets
- new rocker arms
- k&N
- cleaned the thorttle bodie!
- bigger conrods and bearings
- champion spark plugs
- champion oil filter
- champion fuel pump
- slicon injection leads
- new fuel pump

parts and labour! 950!!!!
much more power than b4! i piss over 8v gti's 1.8!

! i did this cuz of insurance reasons! i wanted a turbo!!! but i was young no ncb! and paying a bit!
will get the turbo soon as mines gone!

up 2 u really! i love putting my footdown! after the egine rubluid cuz it goes! but fuels a b atch!

b4 the rebuild! 88bhp! on the rollers!
the engine was mashed blue and black smoke! on the rollers!nearly blew there and then!
when we stripped it one of the pistons was damged and the head was nackerd!

after the conversion and rebuild!
put it on rollers after! 3k miles done on it
- it recored 119bhp! highest! but was showing:
-high compression
-co2 leaking!
-plus was overheating!2 much!

i should have got it tuned after 500miles! but i was so lazy!
my fan switch and thermostat was very messed up! this made my car over heat alot! and cracked my head in two places! after i checked what was cuzing the high compression!
my temp meter never worked! so i didnt notice the over Heating! the guy from power engineering said! my car should be around! 125!bhp! with the stuff i got done! and said with a tune up of the boostvalue and k&n! u cud get a extra 8bhp!

so hoopefully! i get around 130bhp!
i have made under cover changes, bought new head recently! and have booked to get tuned and 2 get another power graph!
c what happens!
no 1 knows till there cars on the rollers! whats there BHP!

as 4 the sound b4 it was so crap! now sounds beefy!
i got a Scorpion Exhaust back box and tail pipe!
the sounds! so beefY! ure can hear it from the engine and the exhaust!

my self and my mechanic! done all the work!

:-? err! my work was looking and handing the tools 2 him! and s**t work!LOL

done alot research b4 hand! and got differnet advice and ideas 4 different engineers and mechaincs! told my mechanic we got the parts! and slaped it in!

the head was bored to a 1.8! thats ffff ed up now! cuz over heating ( got craked into 2 places) i recently changed that to a new 1.6 head ported and polished! it feels quicker! we see! next week! on the power graph!!

are u going to re-build ures?

I fail to see why you spend hundreds upon hundreds on rebuilds, When a Zetec is a quarter of the price and kicks out more BHP as standard.

Each to there own though eh :P

I'm wondering what to do with my 2i engine - it's done 96k now and I'm in two minds as to getting it rebuilt or dropping a zetec in.
I'm sure the zetec would cost more than £400 to buy and fit though - if not then I want one in a couple of months!

I've got a 1600 cvh fully rebuilt that has been sitting doing nowt for the past two years. Has two new pistons, Perfect Crankshaft, New bearings, New Water and oil pumps, Piper270 cam (full kit) etc etc. Anyone interested? I can post a photo. Its ready to run.....literally, i'll even take the crank back out and re-lube the bearings if required. I obviously cant guarantee the engine but I did the job right two years ago...scouts honour.
