Has my clutch had it?.

Postby Simeski on Mon Dec 29, 2003 11:02 pm

Right, my clutch's biting point is almost at the top which means I only have to lightly touch it and it engages.
Also the car is quite juddery at low speeds. I think I read somewhere that this can be down to the clutch being worn.

If so, How much am I looking at to get it repaired.

Any comments/ help is appreciated.

Cheers

Si

does sound like somethings up with your clutch m8 so might be worth getting a garage to take a look at the clutch cable.

probebly looking at £20 for the cable and at most an hours labour at £50 so all in £70 i reckon!

ID say it just needs adjusting or new cable at the most.

Nothing should need adjusting, the clutch has an auto adjusting ratchet, bit that may be the problem.

My car judders at low speeds, and from the noise coming from the box, either the clutch or thrust bearings are going so I will be replacing them soon I hope before the pack up completely. :o
