Re: hazard preception test ?
When I did mine years and years ago, I think I just clicked twice for each hazzard, maybe 3 times. Because sometimes you will be out of the 'hazard zone' by a second or something, so 3 clicks per one should be ok, usually only 2 or 3 hazards per clip anyway.
Clicking too much: true, you can fail for that, on the CD you have if you are learning that way, click like a motherfudger and it will fail you, thats how many click its means by that lol. Basically if you click every second or two, it will fail you.

Re: hazard preception test ?
Blind corners pop up in the perception test. One of mine was a cyclist coming round a corner on a country road, then all of a sudden a lorry coming round. The cyclist was the hazard (when are they never a hazard).
But the way they go on about slowing down for hazards, you may as well walk. I also had one where a seperated laybay had a car coming up to the edge of the road to leave and pulling out. Happened on the first day after I passed my driving test in real life.
