hb69's ph1 Zetec S (28/8/12)Silverstone and a few other bits
As some of you know after I sold my e30 325 last year i bought a brand new car, which was pretty fantastic to spec a car as you want it. I got a SEAT Ibiza 1.2 Tsi, after enjoying owning it for a while I changed jobs and moved into my own place, which called for a downsize car wise. I sold the Ibiza on, rubbish pic i took before i sold it
I decided to get something cheap to buy, run and be able to have a bit of fun in standard form. In honesty i was looking for a Puma, but there werent any locally, then a quick browse of the forums and this cropped up over on fsi
Its a pretty much standard ph1, aside from K&N panel filter/derestricted airbox and piper 3" cat back. The day after i purchased it the sun was shining so i did an open pit lane day at Brands Hatch
As well as the 599, gt3 and supercharged atom there were alot of these there
The car went well all day, aside from the lower mount sufferring a bit, so a new one is needed asap
All ive done to it apart from that is refit the ambers and standard rear lights, and some focus mist washer jets. It needs some welding on the rear arches, but that goes without saying really. It made a healthy 107bhp at a rolling road day the previous owner attended, so quite happy with that
No plans as such, it needs a service (got the filter and sump plug) when i can be bothered, and give it plenty of abuse whenever money allows for more track days
Thanks for reading

Re: hb69's ph1 Zetec S
Jony-Yep Adams old one. He told me all about the coolant shenanigans, thats all sorted now, temp didnt go above half way after over half an hour or so on track, so im sure its fixed now
Shaun-Cheers
Burman-Jenry? autocorrect lol Ambers ftw OEM all the way
Changed the oil and filter today, FoMoCo filter and some oil i found in the loft (5w30 )
Booked to have the bodywork sorted in April. I also suspect when it had the wishbones replaced back in 2006 it had some pattern parts fitted as theres a little bit of camber on the front wheels i noticed, tyres dont wear too bad,but im starting to hear the creaking noise i used to get in mk3's when the bushes are knackered, so we will see if that changes if i replace the wishbones.

Bloody autocorrect. However, I quite like Jenry.
I'm trying to think if I have any MK5 stuff left in the shed, but can't think of anything lol.

Re: hb69's ph1 Zetec S
Jony-No idea.I just dont have any patience if they keep going wrong, I had the mk6 zs for a year, the mx5 for nearly 2 years, so who knows. I rarely use it any way so if it breaks im not going to be that bothered this time
Steve-You will have to give me a few laps head start
Jick-The only thing im after is a grey parcel shelf if you know of any

Depends how much weight you want over the rear wheels. I have a solid MDF stealth shelf which I hardly used, but its been outside behind the shed for quite some time lol. I can keep my eye open though, there's hundreds of MK4s and 5s in the scrappy in s**t.

jonyb4 :the engine has more to give, it once made 113 on a road he didnt know why it dropped recently
Its because it needed a damn good service, he knew that, and thats why we think it made a little bit less than what it has done in the past.
Either way, it'll be a good little car to play around with!

Don't look too bad, and awesome for going straight out on the track the next day
Thinking what I have in the shed...
Erm; Brand new braided lines. Brand new Powerflex rear beam and arb bushes. Lower strut brace. Probably more too, aint been out there in a while, its cold.
Message if you're interested or I'll probs have them for sales at FiTP...

Sometime You just gotta ask yourself 'what would Ken do?' in this situation Ken would cut the springs.

Usually due to lack of oil,and the parts to rebuild it arent available,im well aware of the rumours
Mines gone over 100k, and going by the service history has been serviced every year/6 months so ive got a bit of confidence in it. But to say they are crap, i just dont agree
