Am I able mate a Hemi 1.6 XR2 head to an MFi RS turbo bottom end?

Not very well - I think the ERST bottom end is lean burn which may mess around with your C/R (same as having your head skimmed I believe cos there's more metal in the combustion bowl).

Cheers for your help. If I was to get a late RST block it would be hemi though wouldn't it?

Not as far as I know - to the best of my knowledge Ford retained the hemi head throughout the production run for Turbo and EFi (and possibly the MFi) engines, although the inlet port shapes included cutouts for the injectors.

I'm fairly sure you'll get a far more reliable answer by posting on the RSOC website though :)
