head gasket

Postby beanyfrst on Sun Jan 29, 2006 9:46 pm

just a quick question. Im going to get a new head gasket for the FRST and i was going to get one from ford, but would it be better to get an uprated as have been told to stick to the original ford one and others have told me to uprate it. The car is 185bhp and 195lbft and is soon hopfull going to be around 200bhp when my remap is done. Any advice is appreciated

Regards :D

standard ford gasket is as tough as old boots but if you want to go uprated i have got a cometic head gasket retail at £117 i want £40.

felpro gasket are pants on a cvh 81mm not a problem on a 2.1zvh 86mm, i have used the felpro gasket for years with no problems and so have loads of other people, but the standard ford cvh gasket is very strong indeed..
