like these.. i wondered if anyone has had any experience. .thats not what im getting, but i may get something with the same shape housing but from what i can tell they might not...

looks like the back is a standardDIN size so it should go in ok but the facia looks bigger so if the car its going into has a curved area above the stereo or something above it it may not fit.

In a Mk3 I'd say you could use it in the centre console, but not the dash hole. Guessing that's what it's for.
