was thinkin bout gettin my head skimmed and polished on my rs,
wot kinda company does it and wots involved and any prices??

I wouldnt get it skimmed, as Iv heard that it not good to skim a turbo head? Loads of companies in the back of fast ford can polish and port your head.. Im not sure of any near you though? :D

Don't get it skimmed cause u will increase compression meaning u can't run as much boost and will be more likly to blow.

Ported and polished would be better IMO.
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Run a mile from anyone who says they going to mirror polish your ports. It's a complete waste of their time and more importantly - your money. It's done so you can see where you're money went, but won't do anything for power and can even reduce it if done badly.
