Carnt you bypass the Valve mate and run the car like a mk3 fiesta set up?

i dont think so mate, the heater temperature selector is electronic on the mk4,5 dash, so wouldnt get the temp selection

All im getting is hot air Ive had my MK4 about a month now.My valve looks brand new.Since then its had a 2 litre blacktop shoved in it

yea i am fitting a mk5 dash into a mk3 and i got it all almost in place, i am just looking for the rubber bit boxed in red to hold the valve in
