I ve just managed to get hold of an xr2i engine, will it go into my fiesta si, what will be involved.

to be honest i wouldnt really put the 8v engine into ur Si. Your practically half-way there for a larger capacity Zetec engine as it is. Besides te CVH block is a step backwards.

totally agree with chum there.... 1.8 defo best option..

altho if u have it.. then i dunno how the looms are different etc or if u need a new fuel tank..?

ok Ive told the bloke that I dont want the 8v engine now. so whats needed for the 16v engine

all u need for the 16v engine is a 16v ecu and maff sensor . and its all a stright swap .

Err.... to be totally honest, you need to get the full clip to get the proper power out of your engine. If you don't have the right parts (which are sometimes done on power rating, i.e. throttle body, and sometimes just on capacity, like the exhaust manifold).

I've posted these details somewhere here before ;)
