only way i can see is to get a bit of duct pipe and pipe it from beside the radiator and in the gap between bumepr and bonnet of make a plater up to fit somewere there that pushes the air over towards the airfilter, i got my bonnet raised up at the back and i find this helps to reduce the temperature aswell.

thats where the original pipe for the airbox goes isnt it? how much is the cold air ducting, is it expensive?
my mate has a zetec-s and he has, what looks like, a standard air intake popping out from under his front bumper, do they do them for ours?

i thought about the raisers but my mate noel has them on his escort cab and people keep telling him his bonnets up lol do you get that problem?

i get that sometimes but they quite surprised when you explain why its done lol

its not that bad in price, look on ebay mate they sell it by metre length in alsorts of sizes, and personally i wouldnt put it under or in bumper, i would keep it hidden mat in the original place and will keep the car looking cleaner

yeah if i get the proper hose id rather hide it because ive seen it bodged under a fez before with cable ties lol. ive seen a few VTR's with it in the fog light which looks cool, but the fez has no places for it to go and id rather not lose my fogs lol. but where you said sounds the best place.

i hit someone up the arse not so long ago and my bonnet had a few problems shutting, then my mums bf hit my car with his van and now my catch works when it feels like it, or when its slammed so would the bonnet raisers make the problem worse?

Raisers will not affect the operation of the bonnet catch. Bonnet raisers also do a good job of letting hot air out.

Have you still got the rubber bit on the top of the bulkhead? remove that; it will allow hot air to escape the engine bay easier even without the bonnet raisers :)

Another option would be turbo bonnet with the vents.

But ducting is simple to do, I would do as above; between the radiator and to the gap in the bumper so it looks clean

that sounds pretty cheap and quick to do, taking the rubber bit off. as i cant see the car right now is it hard to do?

erm tbh i have no idea whats its done, nothing looks bent, apart from where the ford badge is, but the catch and the latch all seem fine. might need bending outwards i think but i didnt want to risk it without a good look.

i would love some turbo vents, are the bonnets hard to come by? or are the vents hard to install?

the rubber bit just pulls off it easy to do, i took mine one step further and took the hole bulk head out of mine and made a stainless bracket for the edis etc, but tha took a little bit of work to do,

wouldnt personally know how hard it is to fit bonnet vents but i know there always frst bonnets on ebay and in the for sale section.

man thats a great help, i appreciate that. looks pretty simple, water goin into the engine bay not a problem then?

wow a black top, hard to fit? ive heard you get massive problems with them, or is it just the rocker cover? has your air filter rubbed through the hose off the rad? ive had to cable tie mine back off of it as it bounces all over the place

sounds quite hard to sort out by the looks of it, i think you need to get a part from america which reverses the mechanism.

ive got a metal place right next door to me so i should be able to get one made up cheap whilst im working lol. i suppose all it has to fall on is the steering rack and the exhaust, cant damage anything

haha  thats proper funny, not that you lost your job obviously.
can you buy something that covers your wires and brings them all together? ive seen alot of euro engine bays recently and they look real smart, im quite tempted to go for the "un-cluttered look"
