On the advice of Al (project) i got a K&N off an xr2. its the right size and all but what in gods name does it attach to?????
Also i found a hose which connects at the top of the airbox and runs round the back of the carb, what do i do with this??? And no its not for the breath filter as i have disconnected that 1.
Last question, The big pipe which runs from the airbox to the frnt of the car is connected to a silver pipe which i think goes to the manifold what do i do with this????

Don't you need a blanking plate on the bottom? Are you sure an XR2 one is going to fit?
Bring it Saturday we can all have a look.
I think one of those pipes needs completely blanking off and the other for a breather.

to fit it, all you do is take the air box off the carb.
Then place the base on the top of the carb, undo one of the torx bolts holding the carb together and put the L shaped bracket over the bolt hole and do the bolt back up - repeat this for the other three bolts.
for the silver pipe going to the manifault - this is a hot air pipe and not REALLY needed, may help in winter though.
the only other pipes that you need to do anything to is the oil return pipe - needs to be drilled into the base or have a filter put on it.
And the vacume pipe which needs to be blocked with a bolt in it!
