help needed (electronic gurus)
Is there any electronic gurus on her who could design me a circuit that i could make with parts from maplin.
basically i want to be able to switch a 12volt source on when a thermister reaches a set temperature i would also like to be able to adjust the temperature the 12 volts source is switched at.
If anyone could help me with this i would be very greatfull

im no expert.. but i could work from a schematic easy so ill have a butchers for you..
i think the main components really would just be a transistor working off the thermocouple...
a pot to adjust the range..
and a relay..
ill see what i can find mate

cool.. you should use a seperate ACT tho dont take a feed from the same ACT as the ecu uses.. you might mess the signal, but theres plently of places to stick one.

yeah wouldn't it be better putting it on when the acts are midrange so its less likely to superheat and need major cooling down
still need to update this sig

i suppose its just going to be a case of trial an error once ive made and fitted it as to what temperature to activate it at.
My cars till a bare shell at the moment so its a long way of little thigs like that but when i do come to do it i may make a little guide so others can try it out.
I know mistubishi evos have an intercooler spray does anyone know what act they operate at?

CRF :The Evo IC spray isn't automatic, you have to press and hold a button to activate it when needed
ahh i see well if thats the way the evo boys have done it i may set mine that way but maybe have it timed so when you press the button it sprays for 20 seconds
