ive got an xr2 engine out of a mk2 in my mk3 fezz and its got the late spec carb. someone told me that if i got a dtf carb out of an early xr2 it would have 5bhp increase. i was just wondering if by saying early xr2 he meant a mk1 xr2 or is there an early mk2 with this carb on.
need information plz.

Nah, you need to find a Mk2 XR2 on about a B reg. The carb has a square top instead of a round top.

mk2 xr2 on an A-C reg will provide what u need but there rare as rocking horse poo!
