Help! RS2000 Caliper Seals

Postby wywywywy on Wed Nov 24, 2004 10:30 am

Hi,

Basically, I finally bought some RS2000 calipers, but I found the piston seal - black rubber bit - on one of the calipers has split... Not quite sure whether it is before or after I bought them.

Anyway, I went to a Ford dealer trying to buy the seals, but they told me they don't do it anymore. (around 20 pounds for both sides from Ford by the way)

So basically, does anyone know where I can buy them?
And is it REALLY unsafe to use a caliper with split seal?

Thanks.

Hi mate,

I spoke to Roger at RogerP@Edwardsford.co.uk , he can get them at 16.68 + vat per side, he has one side in stock but would need about 3 days to get the other. He said if you want them, email him on the above address.

HTH :)
