I'm having right problems with my 1.1, because everytime i start the car up in a morning or after leaving it for about 6-7hrs, loads and i mean loads of white smoke comes pouring out my exhaust, and this goes on for about 1-2mins. its really annoying me and probably every1 else on my street lol. so i was just wondering if anybody has some idea of whats gone wrong! also it seems that if i put my foot on the accelerater quite hard the engine/exhaust seems to make a choking noise before the revs increase. i really apreciate if some people can help me out on this.

my 1.4 fez does that in a morning, it could be the valve stem oil seals, that s wot i got told mine was, so could be the same for you.

Are you finding that it's using any water?

And is it only struggling when you've just started it? If so, you shouldn't really be revving it hard until it's warm anyway. Is it injection or carb? If it's carb, are you using the manual choke in the morning? (Sorry if that's a stupid question, but I know people who never knew what the manual choke was for )

My 2i does this well not loads and loads but some think ive been told it was oil stem seals aswell. Apprently not a very big job. Hopefully its just that!

aah cheers for the help, ill have to mention it wen i get it looked at. it always seems to be worse if ive been on a long journey somewhere. and no its not using any water, but theres quite a bit of oil being used!
