i have a fiesta that was a 1.1 but now has 1.6 cvh but the altantor dont change and its new any idears

check the plug is in, also check the wires from it are conected right, 1 red to starter, 1 red to battery and blue goes to a bullet connector near the passanger head light.
also check the belt is tight.

btw, the low spec cars have plug tyre alternators, the later spec ones have bolt on fittings, and the bolt on fitting ones are higher amps
