Help With suspension

Postby Ash_si on Thu May 19, 2005 12:04 pm

Right this may a bit confusing, Im looking at getting a suspension kit for my fiesta Si,
I have a couple of questions,
1-Im looking a Pi kit, are these good quality or not??,
2- They list two kit's one is a 30mm drop kit & one is a 55mm drop kit, Now as i understand the Si & RS1800 were slightly lower as standard, do these drops (30mm & 55mm) take in to account this or not??

Sorry for the confusion, but i just want to be sure im getting the right kind of kit, low as possible really with out going to coilovers

Cheers for the help

i had pi -35mm springs on my Si, as they are made especially for the car they do take into acocunt the fact the suspension is already uprated.

anyhting lower than 35 and you'll need dampers, the ride will be slammed and undriveable really, my springs were so harsh which sounds good at the time (having a low car) but give it about 3 hours and you'll wish you had more comfort.

edit: actually did you mean there is a full Pi srpings/dampers kit?? i've never heard of it but thought i'd check as it might make this post irrelevant

ok well the kit still takes into account the fact tht the standard suspension on the Si is slightly lower than standard, as long as you get a kit tailored for the Si it'll be fine

i think pi springs are the very entry level ones so not sure about the full kit, but on a budget go for it
