Help with turbo choices needed please!!
Hi
Recently my turbo has blown on my frst, I am looking into which replacement would be best to use. The engine so far has been totally rebuilt 5k ago with low comp pistons, lightened and balanced bottom end and ARP bottom end bolts. The only other mods i have performance wise are an induction kit, mongoose full system and a -31 actuator.
Ideally i would like to get the engine running about the 200bhp mark
The question is.....
Is it best to go for a T2 hybrid or for a T25/T25hybrid? i dont really want to go down the T3 route yet.
Can anybody tell me any information about the pros and cons of each of these turbos and what sort of price i would be looking at for each one also where would be the best supplier for me to source the turbo from, i rung turbo technics asking about a T25 for a fiesta and the bloke told me i had my wires crossed and there was no such thing??
Any help in me making adecision would be greatly appreciated!!
Cheers

BTW, I know i will need other modifications such as decent intercooler and ecu chip etc before i can reach the 200bhp mark but the turbo is the real priority at the moment and a stepping stone before i can carry on with the rest.

m8 personally i think your best and cheapest option is to go down the t3 route
t2 hybrid run out of puff at high revs prone to cracking oil seals dont last long and dam expensive,
t25 alot better then the t2 but suffer alot from what the t2 does,
t3 all round better turbo cheap i done my t3 conversion for £240 with secondhand parts wicked at high revs, with this turbo and the mods you mentioned 200bhp easily Achievable
i have gone form standard t2,standard t3,hybrid t3,stage three hybrid t3,stage one t34,now gt25/40r dual roller bearing turbo.

Must admit it does seem like a tempting option.... The only problem is i do not have the confidence to attempt the conversion myself for fear of doing something wrong and blowing up something or damaging the engine!
I notice a lot of people on here go for the T3, Do the majority of people do it themselves, how long does the changeover usually take and how hard is it to source the relevant parts??
Are there any fiesta garages/specialist tuners that would undergoe a complete conversion or is it something i need to organise myself???
Thanks for looking!

but 30psi with a t2 and 30psi on a t3 not the same you will get alot more power from the t3 because its pushing more air per Revolution then a t2 ever will

I've decided to go for the T3 conversion now after a bit of further consideration. does anybody have any advice or helpful tips that will help me with fitting??
I'm also going to invest in a pro alloy front mount intercooler at the same time, do they do any kind of discount for fiestaturbo.com users or is that just wishful thinking on my part???
Cheers
