High Risk Insurance

Postby Brother Crash on Mon Jan 09, 2006 8:14 pm

Allo peeps, anyone know any decent companies that do high risk?

5+ convictions

Lemme know numbers or websites please, although from what I know I need contact numbers as the best quotes are person specific.

Thanks :)

I annoyed some policemen so they threw the book at me, got 4 for one thing and some from little while before.

Not going into the whole story but I was young and stupid and learned my lesson.

Anyway come on someone must surely have some info :-?

Just incase this may help anyone else I found a couple of links apparently they specialise in dealing with convicted drivers.

http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/motor/ ... tm,INML,10)

http://www.quotelinedirect.com/launcher.asp?INML

They are part of Wilson Insurance Group

Also:

http://www.its4me.co.uk/claims-and-conv ... urance.asp

http://fairplayinsurance.co.uk/fairplay/index.htm

This one specialises in young drivers and convicted drivers

http://www.insureyourmotor.com/car-insu ... rivers.asp

Haven't tried them yet but apparently best to call for a personalised quote :)

Also found a directory of insurance brokers that you can search for by area as well, could be helpful for general insurance quotes :)

I highly recommend people try this broker

http://www.quotelinedirect.com/launcher.asp?INML

Over a £1000 cheaper than all quotes so far :o

Got the quote down to £1500 now which is affordable so looks like I will be back on the road with a vengeance

WTF how did that happen :o

Everyone has quoted me over £5k, after a few weeks I have got it down to about £2800 then £1500 with them

O well I'm happy :D

Getting even better now, this company:

http://www.insureyourmotor.com/car-insu ... rivers.asp

Just called me up from a quote earlier today of £2100 and said that after checking their details they may be able to get it down to £1250 :bonkers: :oooh: :D

Sweet as or what, needs to be referred due to my *cough*7*cough* convictions so will have confirmation on Monday

Fingers crossed :Q

What a difference a year makes!!

Just got a quote with all same convictions on my license and only change being 1 years NCB and came in at £660 :o :D

Considering I paid £1300 last year, cannot believe that, thought it would be around a grand minimum :Q

Nearly exactly half - unbelievable, was a broker called 1st Call Insurance if anyone wondered, their number is 01977 700008

Nice one.

Ironic isn't it that being caught driving without insurance makes it considerably harder to get insurance.

Never really understood that point get convicted of driving without insurance and the cost of insurance goes up, but you will obviously have insurance so how can it make a difference

Just shows you're a risk I guess
