HKS SSQV Blow off valve on Escort RS Turbo?

Postby JohnoRS on Sat Dec 11, 2004 2:47 pm

Hi guys, my first post is a question :D

Been looking at getting a HKS BOV for my Series2 RST, although Im not sure if they even work? Something to do with air flow meter, im not sure.

I know ive seen them on cossies and on Sunnys old green beast.

If anyone could shed some light I would be grateful thanks.

it seems no one anywhere knows... ive emailed SCC see if they can shed light on it.

Finally found something about them...

"It is also the only valve to work without fault on vehicles using metering units ahead of the plenum (such as found on the Ford Escort RS Turbo range), due to it keeping fully shut when on idle"

Try PM'ing Sunny FRST or MadcatCraig as they both had one of these bad boys, infact Craig bought this item from Sunny 2nd hand !

Hope this helps a little, Im sure it can be done :D
