Can somebody tell me what is supposed to be in that hole? I can only presume a rear interior light?

Since I own an Escort and not a Fiesta,I don't know where the anthenna on Fiestas are m8... On my Escort,it is roof mounted,it has a similar opening so you can put your fingers in there and perhaps attach the bolt...then you can tight it with a spanner. But it is in front,as you say, sorry my bad...some models have the antenna backwards.Mine hasn't a plastic cover, but if you take off the roof lining, there is a similar opening...further that,it could possibly fit an interior light in there, although it should have a loom plug somewhere near.Although I just realised it is in the back of the car,not in front...What's the dimensions of the opening?I thing it is a bit narrow...but i can't be sure judging from the photo...or it could be the washer jet on the outside...if it is,you should see a tube...

I'd assume someone fitted or attempted to fit a rear interior light with it that shape/size! No Fiesta came with one, they can be fitted there though.
