Home insurance who has it?
just want to know do i need recipts for items if they are stolen or lost etc?
i have alot of things want insuring but havent got all recipts or the recipt is damaged like the writing has come off so not sure if it will be worth getting insured if they wont replace in the event im burgled
also just bought a new bike as the old one was stolen but nevver got a recipt with that just a hand written note? cost me £1300 so not sure what i can do
any ideas?

Take photos of what you have and if posible pics of cerial numbers ect. make sure it time and date stamped. I do it every couple of years complete list off of everything backed up with photos. A lot of peops get cheap insurance which only covers £20k for contents. I have £50k cover 20k wouldnt cover my waldrobe expecially with new for old cover. Got clothes from 20 years ago

as above, insurance companies dont always expect people to have recipts, cos things are given as gifes, got s/h and what not, but get as much info as poss as said above.
for example, i have pictures, names/models and s/ns of pretty much everything of high value that could be nicked to back me up should i need it.
if you have any worries about it, call your insurance company and ask them what they require should a claim be made and make sure you got it
