Postby Sphinx on Mon Apr 19, 2004 1:47 pm

The handbrake on the 1.1 needs 2 be pulled up reeeaaaalllly hight no b4 it works, so, how do u adjust it? I've lookin in the haynes manual (last night while half asleep) just wanna know exactly how people have done it. I've made a start by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery :bonkers:

rear drums have to be removed to do it properly, u can just wind up the cable nut under the centre of the car, in the tunnel, but if u do this the rear shoes will wear oddly on one side where its in contact with the drum on the edge not in the centre.
