How do I know if I'm commiting insurance fraud?
I was just reading about "Fronting", a situation where a named driver is actually the main driver of the car. Named drivers are only meant to have 'occasional use' and I'm not sure what that means.
I was wondering, because I am a named driver and I only do about 10-15 miles a week and my Mother (policy owner) does about the same or less depending on the time of year (I will be doing slightly more in summer when she uses her MX-5 more often).
I do not commute in the car or use it for anything other than social use.
The car is registered in her name, and payments are from her account.
Will this look dodgy if/when I make a claim?

Not at all IMHO.
Its only people who claim its thier Mum's/Father's car then have sole use of the car that the insurance companies are trying to catch.
Cheers

And so they should. We all have to pay for insurance why should some people try to worm out of it and do it on the cheap?
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
