How hard is it to get insurance on a fiesta Rs turbo !!!

Club insurance schemes with Chris Knott Insurance, Prestige Keep Moving and Adrian Flux.

Ghost :the slight amenities that come with Fully comp is probably not worth it as its not a car that gets used all the time

he does use it all the time

@Oranoco...he cant go for a classic car policy as its a daily runner!!

@Knuckles...tbh m8 a grand is probably a fair deal!!

Finally got my insurance.... :x

HIC - quoted me £2200 fully comp, all mods with cat 1 alarm and tracker.

So i called adrian flux and they quoted me £1750 fully comp - £165 a month with a £445 start fee. :o

So in the end i went 3rd party, fire, theft - £902
£220 start fee and £82 a month there after.

Both companies said i was getting high quotes because i have only got 2 years no claims bonus and am only 22.

Tbh you were gonna get a fairly high quote due to it being on the street and the fact its your daily driver!

Least its insured now so you can start driving it :D

knuckles :Bit of a rant about car insurance !

I have been online for 3 hours trying to get a good quote on my Rs turbo and i have nothing but grief...

Ive tried confused.com , this is money.com , elephant, swift, Quinn, AA, admiral etc

I'm 23 in 2 months , have 2 years ncb , no claims , no convictions, live in London. The car has cat 1 alarm, immobiliser and a tracker and they still wont insure me ... :x

I have had no problems insuring a xr2i with modifications but as soon as i mention bigger brakes, and bigger alloy wheels on the Rs they don't want to insure me.

My cheapest quote so far is £1650 :o

Does anybody else have or had the same problem when changing cars ??

Im 21 with 4 years ncb - £600 with the AA for my RST ( but mines standard )
