in southend we have about 8 and another "super" tesco being built in the town centre

i much prefer Asda

like you said theyre taking over we only have 1 asda in this area and iver never seen another one on my travels anywhere, that must be why asda are so cheap - they dont waste theyre money on more new staff and ever more stores.

we have 1 big tesco's extra, and another big one being built on the previous site of B&Q (we now have a NEW B&Q which has recently opened - the biggest BnQ in britain ) and we have a tescos extra petrol station/mini store pretty much every half mile from end to end on the top of the town and the bottom lol you cant get away from them!

really? how big is it in sq/ft? our one is new and was built on the edge of our town and created a whole new "mini-town" in open fields. i think it was something like 190,000 sq/ft...something like that, but is reported (by B&Q in the local paper) to be there biggest store in britain.

We have 2 with another 2 being planned but in a city the size of say Warrington

we have a tesco super store in oulton lowestoft and in the town and metro and in old carlton colville and extra tesco

Ilkley has an older large store and a recently opened Express + petrol station. There are plans afoot for Tescos to build a new superstore and close the older one but there has been a lot of protest over it. There are even demonstration videos on youtube!

We have 19 Most of which are express stores, 1 is a metro, 1 is a Homeplus, mine is a Super and there are about 3 extras.

probably about 20, there are loads of new houses being built in Swindon, and all these new estates get a mini Tesco as their local shop.
