how much for a decent system ?

How much would it cost me to have a decent system comprising of a decent head unit, component speakers, 2 subs and an amp and maybe some 6x9's. also any recommendations for any of the above would be greatly appreciated. :)

You don't have to go mad but I would advise you get the best deck you can. Alpine would be my choice as you can get a more than acceptable deck for £180 if you go to the right places.

Alpine H/U
4ch amp
Compnent speakers in the front run off two channels of the amp
Sub run off the other two channels bridged
No back speakers. if you really have to have rear speakers I would get some good quality custom fits and mount them in the origianl location and run them straight of the H/U

Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
