hi guys, i would like to know roughly how much it would cost to covert a 2.0 mk1 mondeo engine to a nice 2.1 turbo :devil: .

budget about 5k or there abouts.

there is one for sale for £3250 in the parts section :)

cheers simon, yea i saw that engine in the for sale forum. unfortunately i dont have £3250 at the mo. i just needed a rough idea so i can start saving :D

that engine in the parts for sale section is awesome.. just don't have a nice enough bodyshell to put it in.. but then again i don't have one at all to put it in :(

machining costs will be around the £300 (Bore/hone/deck/crank gring/ face/ breather relocation/ face head/ etc)

Pistons (Arias/CP) £630

Rod bolts £90

Valve springs (FFM Custom) £130

gaskets/bearings/pumps/bolts £320

Hope this helps paint a picture for you to get started. This is the absolute basic list to get you started, obviously, details like Turbo, cams, building it, warranty, etc are missing

oh, would i have to change my ecu and wiring loom to a frst one as i have a rs1800.
