How much work is involved in fitting escort cosworth wheels?

Subject says it all...

Just wondering how much work is involved, I heard you had to cut the arches up? But I read that they just fit straight on?

My cars lowered 50/60 at the moment.

Depends what tyres you want to use, what arches you have, how low you are etc

I think the easiest way people do it is with 195/45/16's and a trim round the arch, ie the flat part of the arch that tucks back into the wheel well, trim this off and roll it upwards (dont forget copious amounts of rust proofer of your choice )

With this tyre size is a fair amount of stretch tho, not something I would be comfortable driving on, especially how much I like having fun in the corners

I'm sure there's a dude on here running 205/215 sizes but think that's a good bit of arch work. Arch work
Isn't that expensive to have done properly anyway, I can get mine rolled for £15 a corner done properly :Q altho this isn't from a garage . And would really advise against it if your arches aren't 100% metal

Hope any of that helps lol

As russ has said pretty much said
tyre profile got to be 45 or 40 how much stretch up to you
Depending on what suspension you have
you may need couple mm spacers on rears
iirc 1 side went straight on no probs
the other side rubbed the shock

im running 205/40/16 tyres, and have done allot of cutting.
Also i havn't lowerd it, fitted a gaz coilover set and turned it up.
Steering limitter fitted and shocks on hard :P

Will fit beter with the 195/4016 or 195/45/16 tyres ( if you like the stretched look )

i had 195 45s on mine with avo coil overs i never trimmed the arches till just before i broke the car up, all it did was scratch the side wall of the tire slightly no big cuts, but i trimmed it in the end so it personal choice
