How slow......?!?

I hear of problems but I've not experienced any since I used to access the site from work through an NTL connection.
I'm only on in the eve and weekends though.
Can anyone who finds it slow list the following:
- ISP & connection speed
- Browser
- Time of day it's slow
- What is slow to load: clicking a link and waiting for a response, the page loading (going from blank to loaded) etc.
Thanks!

Seems to be slow with IE and not firefox after doing a few tests, its slow all through the day and night with IE. Normally a slow response time when viewing and posting threads from clicking the link to something happening, actual page load time are fast images etc.

Firefox
Find it has mostly happened around 9-11pm
can last about 30mins and happens when I click any forum link, e.g new topic, reply, view forum etc.
It will then clear and work as normal. But when it does it it will take a good minute or more to load the page.
Often I manage to get through about 2-3 links of FSI or PF before coming back to a loaded page.
I will update when it has actually happened again

That is all.

Clicked a topic in Member's Gallery, and it took in excess of 3 mins or so for any response. Actual page loading time was slow, but nothing compared to the time it took to respond.

Here we go again...
AOL, 2MBit
IE6
About 5:35pm
Clicked General Car Discusion, and it took probably over 5 minutes to do anything (a guess) and then the page just went blank for ages before actually loading up. Tried to go back to Index and it took ages again... Ended up falling asleep for about half an hour

clicking on various forum catagorys and threads, takes a while, although posting a reply/thread takes even longer, although when i came here to type this it seemed ok, probably take 10 minutes to submit now

NTL / Virgin Media customers can use proxies here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d.h.walker
Give that a go and report back - some NTL franchises use transparent proxies which are damn slow, and this has resolved some issues.
I can report that the site can be randomly slow - sometimes it works fine sometimes its quite slow.

It's stopped working time and time again today, but I'm afraid that's the norm these days I dropped Crapi an MSN rant once or twice, but it's so regular it hardly seems worth logging the times - particularly frustrating each time I try to edit the bigass T-shirt thread, and it freezes when clicking Submit, then the page cannot be found after several minutes.

No particular time of day
Site runs slowly in particular when trying to post replies to posts or new posts. It'll act like it's loading, then come up with a 'Page Not Found' error after about 3 or 4 minutes. Then when I return, I find that the post has actually been made. Quite often it'll do this a few times, and then revert to normal. I've also noticed that if I try to click any links (e.g. if I want to forget making the post and return to the index instead) while it's doing this, the same thing happens. Seems like the server just doesn't want to respond for a time.
EDIT: Oh the irony. It just did it while posting this. Then IE crashed. Argh!

Happened to me all day again today. Would load the top of the screen on occasions, but only as far as the Index link before the "good stuff" starts. Every other time it refused to load anything at all

Still routinely breaking down for anything between one and twenty minutes at a time, several times a day.

Something seemed to get messed up during that 'dead' patch too...
I posted a reply in the Member's Gallery, which is currently top of the forum, but when you look at the last poster for that forum from the Index, it's sphinx, who posted about an hour and a half before... It's not cookies or anything at my end either

right, couldnt log on at all just then for a 10 minutes.
All it did was continue trying to load a blank page and then timed itself out. Although it didnt say that, it just stopped trying to load and stayed on a blank white page.
