Right i got some skirts and arches for an xr2i for me 5 door and have trimmed the rear arches so they get past the door (as opposed to cuttin a huge chunk out and stickin it to the rear door)
Where the rear of the skirt curves up to meet the rear arch it comes across a small section of the lower rear doors so i removed as little as possible of this to allow the rear doors to open and now there is a small gap about 1 inch by 2 inches that i need to fill with fibreglass. Only problem is i don't have a fappin clue how to do this!!!!!!
I've seen the little kits in halfords and believe this would work but i dunno what i'm doing as i never done this before. What do i have to do!!!!
Cheers
Jon

Fibreglass in a tub is a right bastid to do properly so i think u r best of mixing it with some filler. Spread it on as smoothly as u can and mask off the area around where u will be filling (cos it makes it much easier to sand afterwards).. When u apply the filler/fibreglass mix get a blob on the end of your spredder and press it flat down firmly against the area u wish to 'glass.....use different grades of wet 'n' dry paper to sand it off

Ideally use P40 which is bridging filler to plug the gap with a dip for P38 the finishing filler to tidy the job.
Wear gloves and be careful how you mix the quantities.
A golf ball of the main stuff to a pea of the hardener is about right.
