How to fit ACT gauge???

Postby festaturbo on Wed Jul 03, 2002 1:13 pm

I brought one from halfords. I have hung the sensor inside the turbo pipe that joins the charge carrier to the inlet manifold. Im worried that under boost the sensor could snap at the wire and go into the engine!!!!!! How have you guys installed yours?

If there's any plastic bits on the sensor part, break them off, just leave the thermistor dangling in the pipe. That way you should not get anything accidently going into the plenum chamber, plus you will get quicker readings.

cheers :)

I had my ACT gauge hanging like that for about 4 months.
It wont snap off (mine was running 9psi and it was fine)
But do as fezzy says anyway, better safe than sorry :)
