Problem or technical question?

i have just removed my cylinder head and wondering what to do with the hydraulic tappets as i have mixed them up. can they just be squeezed out and refilled with oil pressure??

The reason why you don't mix the tappets,is because each one may have different wear on their surface from each camshaft lobe.Why do you want to empty them from the reamaining oil?They will be refilled under oil pressure eitherway when you assemble them on the head.

u dont have to empty them on cvhs mate ,just wrap them in an oily rag if there staying out

Agree.Some people also dip them in a container with oil.You can do that too.Place them vertical and let the oil surround them.
