I bought a house!

Postby AdrianFRST on Wed Dec 22, 2010 9:39 pm

Took a while to find one I liked, but a mere five weeks after spotting it on Rightmove I was through the door. Got the keys today and did the most important thing first - parked the car in the garage!

As you can see it's a double, which I'm mega happy about (very rare to get one with a double for less than £200k round here) so I think next year once I've settled in it's time for a project car to sit in that empty space.

Also took advantage of an offer at Halfords last weeked to get a small toolbox to put in it too...

very nice mate indeed, and it sounds like you got a good deal there :Q
i would love a garage like that next to my house/under it, but i hope to be moving next year, where im planning to move the houses are still being built, and the 4 bed places are ment to have a garage, which will prob be tiny, just wish they had a garage like that!

Nice one, good to see you posting on the forums again.

I bought a house a couple of months back, but it needed some work so not moved in yet. Also has a double garage and first thing I did was park the FRST in the there.

Nice. :D

Does your bootlid hit the doors? Mine does. Those pull cords hit the car roof too so had to tie them up.

Is that electric heating? How do you get on with that? I lived in one flat with it and it'd have been cheaper and warmer to burn fivers.

No, there's an inch or two of clearance fortunately.

That pic is the flat where I am now, and it has electric storage heaters yeah. I've found them to be fine. There's five of them in various rooms but I've only had three switched on and it's been plenty warm enough.

New house has normal radiators and gas heating so will see how that compares.
