I HATE the car market at the moment!
As some of you may know, I'm selling off the Si and all the parts I've collected over the years. My plan was to put whatever money I get from this towards my next car, something that has to be a bit special...but can I find something that fits the bill?!? Not for love nor money!!
This time last year there were soooo many more cars for sale on the likes of autotrader & ebay etc then all you would have to do was go and view as many cars as it took before you found a good one.
Now there are sod all cars for sale! so it's taking 10x longer to even find cars good enough to go and view
I'm doomed to spend the rest of my life driving around in the Xantia.
Rant over.

It is a pain mate, but at least you don't have an elephant sitting on your face. Can you imagine how much worse it would be to be in the situation you're in AND have an elephant sitting on your face too? 236 times worse. That's how much worse it would be.
My name is Alex. I used to have a Capri. I don't anymore. But I'm still called Capri.

Could you not just keep the Xantia for now, and keep saving up money.
Once the used car market is in a better state, you will have more money and can get a better car

It's not the money, or wanting a 'better' car. The cars I want just aren't about at the moment, and the ones I have managed to find haven't been up to scratch. Plus I want to get the next car and sell the Xantia while it's still got a healthy MOT and tax on it.

Fair enough
What cars are you after?

Re: I HATE the car market at the moment!
There's a particular bmw that I want which is rare enough as it is, but with the interior and spec I want it's even harder to find one...make that impossible
There are a couple of other cars that I'd 'settle' for, like a nice A4 quattro sport but these are still tricky to find and don't excite me as much as the bmw.
Imagine wanting one of the latest reg RS turbos, in black, with less than 60k on the clock and a full ford service history and in fantastic original condition. It's that kind of mission and it's been harder by how pants the car market is at the moment.

Name the bmw and the spec, thousands of FT's keeping an eye out will yield more possibilties than just one
