Ok i would have a series one zetec, but i want one with sensible miles! not 100k for 300 pounds! seemed a bit harsh to me considering tappets where f**cked!

Mine engine is at 130,000 and it is fine. Depends on how people drove it and how well it was looked after.
I am sure you can find a lower milage engine for less than that though. 2.0 litre zetec engines have got to be 10 a penny with the amount of mondeos on the road.

lou's cam cover is red.. cos mark stewart who owned it before had it powder coated...
high milage possibly means its a company car.. and has done lots of motorway miles but has been serviced regulary... 100k reg serviced would be better than a 60k with funlumps ragged off it all the time!!... do u see

what?
any ford engine over 60k i wouldn't buy myself (imo)
If your buying an engine, get the lowest miles possible, it costs a fortune to recon an engine, even if you do it yourself (also imo)
http://www.gwbridges.co.uk
now that was hard, i guarantee they have some series 2 mondeo engines with less mileage for less money. You weren't looking that hard now were you?
As for the red rocker cover, as its been said before thats a one off anyway. http://www.fiestaprojects.co.uk or .com is what you need to be reading, suggest you spend some time there before askign more questions
