Immobiliser / Disconnect Battery?

Postby Kandi_Fiesta on Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:01 pm

Would it be alright to disconnect the battery if the cars fitted with an immobiliser, or would it cause problems with the immobiliser when i come to reconnect it? :-?

Most alarms are fine and should cause you no problems. What is the alarm/immob?

However I did have a Code Alarm immobiliser years back and everytime I disconnected the battery for anything it lost it's memory and wouldn't disarm.

I've had a similar immobiliser on a previous car along with a separate alarm and disconnecting the battery never affected it. :)
