induction kit

hi guys

i have a si 1.6 and have just put an k + n induction kit on it,
the thing is the only reason i got it is for the roar!!

so.. how unhappy do u think i woz when there wasnt no sound at all,
does anyone no why this is or how i could get the sound i am looking
for??

I had a K&N and there wasn't much sound, so i took it back and exchanged it for a Piper X kit, sounds much better :wink:

i had a pipercross on mine and it wasnt that loud until i was 4000+ revs!

My K&N on my 1.6 Si is loud enough??!! I removed the sound-proofing under the bonnet though for when I got the EVO vent which makes a difference.

To make a lot of noise you have to put you foot down and it gets much louder at 2500+ RPM.

I think the exhaust makes a difference too. My cat back scorpion was too restrictive so I took it to Longlife Custom Exhausts.

They said it was too restrictive so they modified it for bout £80 and now my exhaust is louder, car accelerates cleanly and for some reason my Induction kit is Louder??!! (You can tell it is the K&N, and not the exhaust since they sound very different!)
