injectors
having always worked on carb engines, my new car is fuel injected, i know the basics but wanted to know whether changing the injectors for larger items would improve the engines performance?? my engine is a 1.3e and i sort of got my hands on a free set of brand new cosworth injectors , they're blue. any advice would be great cheers

not quite a as simple as just changing the injectors i'm afraid
The injector colour hasn't really got much to do with how good they are , the part number on the connector should tell you exactly what they are , this will allow you to find impedance, flow rate and alsospray pattern.
Also probably worth not a lot less than a 1.3e engine.

You also need to find out if the impedance of the injectors is different - afaik they will be and that renders them incompatible - they could fry your ECU, which is, errm, bad.
If your 1.3 uses injectors I'm guessing you have a Ka or Mk5 Fiesta... am I wrong?

yeah i gotta mk5 fiesta, so modding my injectors is not really my best option to make my engine that extra bit zippier.
what about changing the throttle body? what is a power boost valve and where does it go cos i heard someone saying that they have one on their si. and is there a superchip avaliable for my car if so how much and where can i get one??
cheers

Easier and cheapest way is too sell the 1.3 and buy a 1.25 engined one as they are pretty nippy
Not really a lot you can do with your engine to be honest without wasting a lot of money. A panel filter and freer flowing exhaust will make it sound faster
