installing power cap

Postby doRSet lee b on Mon Jun 18, 2007 8:47 pm

i bought a power cap on weekend at a show, it came with all the tools, screw etc and a resistor. what do i do with the resistor? i been told that it may go between the terminals briefly to get rid off the discharge in the capacitor.

i still got to get a distribution block and some fuses. could anyone give me a brief guide on installation and what the hell the resistor is for. i bought i 1.0 farad toxic power cap if anyone has fitted one themself. cheers
