Installing screens into headrests

Postby andyhardy on Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:48 pm

Hi all,

I'm just undertaking some work on a display stand for the Eastbourne Motorshow in July and have come around to having to install headrest mounted screens.

Anyway - I've not had to do this before as I've primarily worked on dashboard VGA touchscreens or played around with headrest mount brackets (which ultimately look crap). So, after a quick google search I've come up with a few guides that people might find handy.

I'm installing mine into a set of '90 spec XR3i velour headrests - bit of an arse as I'm installing 7" widescreens so not much room around the edges and quite a curved shape for such a flat object!

I'll post some pics up when I've got the backplate cut away and installed.

If anybody knows of any other sites with guides or has their own hints and tips on the job then let me know!

Cheers,

Andy
